Omar Stanford BuzzInfoarchitecture
Omar has an international reputation as a top developer. Omar pursued software development and network consulting projects in Silicon Valley, most notably with NeXT Corporation, under the direction of Steven Jobs. Appointed Senior Network Architect of one of the nation's first commercial ISPs, Omar was instrumental in the expansion of the Points of Presence (POPs) from one city to six. During this rapid expansion, he assisted in the development of a tier-1 commercial broadband provider that comprised 4-6% of the commercial internet as a whole. In order to accommodiate the shifting landscape of communications from a wireless and wire line perspective, Omar shifted focus to the security and efficiency of networked infrastructures. This client/server versus host-centric computing philosophy led to the development of secure, efficient and accountable communication networks. |
